In the last post I mentioned that I was among the 11 artists selected by the jury of the call for the group exhibition Posta dell'Arte and here we are! I am again extremely thankful to Laura Giovanna Bevione who conceived this project, selected and curated my image. It is much gratifying and exciting seeing my work printed big (as big as 70 x 100 cm!) and posted on four advertising boards in such a nice, clean and cozy city like Castelgandolfo and spread all around the Castelli Romani area! Since I started offering my images to the public I never thought one day I would experience this kind of exhibition...this is real fun! Especially when from distance I observe people walking by the posters and stopping to see (or even take a picture of) my print (while I am actually wondering what they think about it)... I may just approach them and ask, right?!
By the way, in case you're wondering...this image in question, too little too late, comes from the lost identity collection nighttime series, the second of three series within the collection inspired by the Covid pandemic. Shot in Piazza del Popolo in Rome in 2020, it wants to exacerbate the solitude most of us felt during lockdown and since the beginning of this health crisis, along with the feeling of being unable to fix things once the virus spread out and got out of control, hence the title too little too late.
And if you happen to pass by Pavona or the beautiful lake in Castelgandolfo or the city itself one of these days and until April 20, maybe for having a nice lunch after visiting the impeccable Papal Gardens, please let me know what you think about this open air art show, as I may not have the guts to interview anyone on the spot after all! 🙂

Nello scorso post ho raccontato che sono stata selezionata dalla giuria tecnica della mostra collettiva Posta dell'Arte ed eccoci qui! Sono nuovamente estremamente grata a Laura Giovanna Bevione che ha ideato questo progetto, selezionato e curato la mia immagine. E' molto gratificante ed emozionante vedere il mio lavoro stampato cosi grande (70 x 100 cm!) e apposto in ben quattro bacheche pubblicitarie dei Castelli Romani e nella città di Castelgandolfo, così gradevole, pulita ed accogliente! Da quando ho iniziato ad offrire le mie immagini al pubblico non ho mai pensato che un giorno avrei esposto in una esibizione di questo genere....ma è veramente divertente! Specialmente quando da lontano osservo le persone che passano vicino ai poster e si fermano a guardare (e magari anche fotografare) il mio lavoro (e nel frattempo mi domando cosa staranno mai pensando a riguardo)... potrei anche semplicemente avvicinarmi per chiederlo, no?!
A proposito, nel caso te lo stessi chiedendo...l'immagine in questione, too little too late, appartiene alla collezione the lost identity serie nighttime, la seconda di tre serie nella collezione ispirata dalla pandemia Covid. Scattata in Piazza del Popolo a Roma nel 2020, vuole rappresentare il sentimento di solitudine che molti di noi hanno provato durante il lockdown e dall'inizio della crisi sanitaria, oltre al sentimento di non essere stati in grado di aggiustare le cose una volta che il virus si è diffuso ed è andato fuori controllo, da qui il titolo too little too late.
E se dovesse capitarti di passare per Pavona, per il bellissimo lago o per la città di Castelgandolfo uno di questi giorni ed entro il 20 aprile, magari per rimanerci a pranzo dopo aver visitato i Giardini Pontifici, per favore fammi sapere cosa ne pensi di questa mostra d'arte a cielo aperto, perchè tutto sommato nel frattempo potrei non aver trovato il coraggio di fermare i passanti per sapere cosa ne pensano! 🙂
